This is the phone debate that never ends. Every year, Samsung releases its flagship Galaxy S series. Apple releases the new iPhone. Both are excellent. Both are expensive. And every year, millions of people try to figure out which one to actually spend their money on.

Here is the honest comparison for Nepal in 2026.

PRICE IN NEPAL:
Samsung Galaxy S25 (base): approximately Rs 120,000–130,000
iPhone 17 (base, 128GB): Rs 139,999

The Samsung is meaningfully cheaper for comparable base specs. That matters.

SCREEN AND DISPLAY:
Samsung Galaxy S25 has a 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED display. Colours are vivid — arguably too vivid for some people's taste. iPhone 17 has a 120Hz Super Retina XDR. More accurate to real life. Both are excellent. Edge to Samsung for brightness.

CAMERA:
Both have world-class cameras. Samsung's processing tends to produce more saturated, "Instagram-ready" shots. iPhone's processing is more natural and consistent. For video specifically — iPhone still leads. Most professional videographers choose iPhone. For photos: personal preference honestly.

BATTERY:
Samsung Galaxy S25 has a larger battery and charges faster. iPhone 17 has improved but Samsung still wins here.

ECOSYSTEM:
If you use a MacBook, iPad or AirPods — buy the iPhone. The integration is seamless and switching would be painful. If you use Windows or Android everywhere else — Samsung makes more sense.

THE VERDICT FOR NEPAL:
For value — Samsung Galaxy S25. More features per rupee.
For long-term software support and resale value — iPhone 17.
For video content creators — iPhone 17.
For everyone else — Samsung Galaxy S25 is the smarter buy in Nepal in 2026.
